The project comprises the construction of a three storey semi detached house over an existing garage and loft conversion to the original house to create additional habitable space.

 

The stepped back elevations at first floor necessitated the use of steel box frames on new foundations which also provide lateral stability to the building. The upper storeys are framed using a mixture of lightweight steel, timber and masonry on the elevations.
